The New Technical Hierarchy of Needs for Modern Transformation

25 Jun 2025
TechStrategy Stage
In 1943 Abraham Maslow formulated his hierarchy of needs (or goals) that motivate human behaviour. This hierarchy is as relevant today as it was at the time, with many half-jokingly add 'wi-fi access and Chat GPT' to show how dependent we have become on technology.

Given that huge dependency on Technology, and the desire of so many to become even more technologically enmeshed: for example, the ongoing desire to digitize, the current generations move away from media ownership towards streaming everything, and the current trend in Generative AI that has taken the globe by storm, the need for good technical foundations also accelerates.

Key Takeaways:
  • Risk that currently run in our businesses and society around data sovereignty, and digital literacy
  • How we can make sure we are not left behind or leave behind people or data
  • Learn about the new Technical Hierarchy of Needs
