We're delighted to announce that the biggest conference in mainland Europe celebrating the successes and uncapped potential of women in the tech industry is returning to Amsterdam this year!
European Women in Technology will be back at the RAI in Amsterdam on 24 - 25 November 2020, building on all of the passionate discussions and valuable insights from last year's phenomenal event.
It was incredible to welcome a truly international audience – coming from at least 48 countries across the globe – to share their unique experiences in Amsterdam, the heart of mainland Europe’s largest tech economy.
We can't wait to do it all over again and see the change you've impacted and what new innovations you've discovered or even developed in the tech sector. Thanks to its popularity, we'll be growing the 2020 conference to hold 5,600 attendees, each with the opportunity to hear from 200 world-class industry speakers across 150 career-progressing sessions.
What did I miss at European Women in Technology 2019?
From former Prime Minister of Denmark Helle Thorning-Schmidt's empowering talk on the 'three Cs of a good leader' and Anne-Marie Imafidon's discussion on HERstory, to a wild after-party on just the first day of the conference, there really were so many highlights!
It's hard for us to pick our favourites – so here's a selection of your most memorable moments that you posted across social media. It was inspiring to see all of you sharing your highlights and motivating wider audiences to get involved with the movement to progress the tech sector as well.
Rachana Bhide, the chair of European Women in Technology 2019, has also shared her key takeaways from the conference – have a read of our recent interview with the prolific broadcaster.
What's on the agenda for 2020?
Our jam-packed agenda will cater to professionals at every stage of their career, from those scoping out what kind of job in tech is for them, to CEOs who want to understand how to take their business to new heights of success.
This year we'll even have the new addition of a WinTechSeries Pre-Conference Day, featuring hands-on labs, personal development workshops and guided tours of technology to supplement your conference experience.
During the main event there will be a range of themes to delve into: Women in Tech Leadership 2020, The Evolution of Work, Emerging Technologies, Elephant in the Room, Entrepren-HER, Diversity & Inclusion, Taking Charge of your Future, Tech for Social Good, Master Classes, Taster Classes, Tech Talks - A Beginner's Guide / Advanced, Soft Skills and a Career Advice Zone.
We recognise the growing importance of fintech and as such, we will also have a special Fintech Focus theme that will teach you how to revolutionise the future of the growing sector. Through a mixture of panels and presentations, we'll be exploring topics such as: Unexpected Disruptors, Sustainable Finance, New Technologies, Security and Cybercrime.
All of these sessions will be focused on giving women the tools they need to leverage their career and close the prevalent gender gap in the tech industry. With so many emerging opportunities in the sector, it's more important than ever that the tech industry fosters a diverse and inclusive environment that will positively impact the products and services it creates.
Who will be speaking?
Last year we had speakers from pioneering companies such as Google, TomTom, STEMettes, HP, BCG, Microsoft, Sky, Nike, Monzo, Amazon Web Services, Netflix and more, sharing their expertise and experiences.
European Women in Technology 2020 will promise another stellar line-up, with 200+ trailblazing speakers from a variety of backgrounds, including:
