European Women in Technology 2019 will be taking place 26th-27th November. The two-day exhibition and conference is hosted by the RAI Amsterdam. Please read the below information to ensure an enjoyable stay and to make the most of your visit to Amsterdam.
Getting to the event
RAI Amsterdam is in the Zuidas business district of Amsterdam, Netherlands. It is easily accessible no matter what your chosen means of transport is. Click on the icons below to find out how to access the RAI Amsterdam by car, air, train, bus or taxi.
The RAI has its ‘own’ station, RAI Amsterdam which is located a stone’s throw from the RAI complex and is easy to reach from anywhere in the Netherlands. When you leave the station follow the signs for RAI Amsterdam. Check the latest train information before departure »
Travel advice The Amsterdam RAI station will be under construction until the end of May 2019. Our advice is to avoid this station until then and travel with metro 52. The metro leaves from Amsterdam Zuid station in the direction of Noord and from Amsterdam CS station in the direction of Zuid. You can get off at metro station Europaplein.
Please note: the above travel advice does not apply if you have bought a NS-train ticket with your trade fair registration/entrance ticket. With this NS-train ticket you can only get off at Amsterdam RAI station, otherwise the discount is not valid.
By Eurostar Eurostar now runs a direct service from London St Pancras International to Amsterdam Centraal - twice a day on weekdays and once a day on weekends. The journey takes just 3hrs 41 mins to get from city centre to city centre with free wi-fi offered onboard and a power socket at every seat. For more information and to book tickets, please clickhere.
Every taxi company can bring you to RAI Amsterdam and will drop you of as close as possible to the entrance of the event. For logistical reasons, we only allow TCA taxis on the premises to pick up visitors. At some events the TCA taxis are already waiting at the entrance of the event. If there are no taxis waiting, the reception desk can call one for you. If you would like to book one online, please clickhere.
If you would like to use another taxi, then the pickup point will be outside the RAI area.
Metro 52 will take you from Amsterdam Centraal Station to RAI Amsterdam (Europaplein station) in just eight minutes and stops in front of the RAI complex.
From Amstel Station you can reach us by taking Metro 51 to the RAI station or bus 62 (stop Europaplein). Metro 50 operates the route between Amsterdam Sloterdijk and Gein, and also stops at the RAI station.
Alternatively, if you have organised a coach for your group, coaches can usually park in P6. Simply follow the signs marked P-RAI 6. Some events attract a large number of buses. If this is the case, there will be signs on the Europaboulevard which indicate the route coaches can follow to park. You can let us know you are arriving by coach via email@example.com.
Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is located a 15-minutes from RAI Amsterdam whether you travel by car, train, taxi or bus. The Amsterdam Airport website provides information including: up-to-the-minute flight information, connecting transport facilities to RAI Amsterdam and business facilities.
