Clíodhna Kirk
Clíodhna is originally from Ireland but currently based in Amsterdam. She has been working in various different IT functions in Greenpeace International over the past 7 years; first starting as an IT Intern and quickly progressing to IT Manager. Clíodhna's current role sits within the Global IT department as Functional Application Manager. With a background in European Studies, Kirk has done a lot of on-the-job learning and has completed computer science certifications since moving into the tech field. In her previous role, she taught Scratch computer coding to children and trainers across Africa and Europe as part of SAP's Africa Code Week and Refugee Code Week.
Clíodhna is always keen to chat about ethical and sustainable technology, on how to create opportunities for youth to enter the workforce and about operational IT. As an advocate for green and sustainable IT, Kirk focuses a lot of her energy on how to consciously use technology - given its environmental impact and within the current political climate. She loves to read both fiction and non-fiction and you will see her playing football or at the gym in her spare time!
