Nathalie Vandystadt

Nathalie Vandystadt serves as the Coordinator for Stakeholder Engagement and Policy Communication at the European AI Office within the European Commission. In this role, she leads the development, preparation, and execution of the stakeholder communication strategy for the AI Office, which encompasses five units. Before this, Nathalie was the Commission’s spokesperson for the Digital Single Market, Education, Culture, and Sport during the Juncker Commission. She also served as an Interinstitutional Coordinator at DG CNECT, where she played a key role in coordinating and supporting the negotiations on the AI Act, Chips Act and other legislation. Prior to joining the Commission in May 2015, Nathalie spent nine years as a journalist and Brussels-based correspondent for media outlets such as La Croix and Europolitics. She holds two master’s degrees from Sorbonne University—one in journalism and another in EU policies.
